About Kinobe
In addition to being a gifted performer (Kinobe is 24 and has been touring
since he was 10), Kinobe also makes all his own instruments and has founded his own instrument company. He also founded and directs a non-profit in Uganda to educationally and artistically support the children. He is also trained in western classical music, and has scored for chorus a collection of beautiful Ugandan
songs.

PARTICIPATION DETAILS - The Jezic Ensemble with Soul Beat Africa
You are invited to participate in the spring 2009 Jezic concert featuring Kinobe & Soul Beat Africa, to be held on Friday, April 17, 2009 at Paint Branch UU Church in Adelphi MD (details below). This concert will feature choral and instrumental arrangements of the beautiful music of Uganda, accompanied by Ugandan traditional artist Kinobe and his ensemble SOUL BEAT AFRICA. This concert will take place during their upcoming US tour, supported in part by Alliance Francaise. Note: This opportunity will be offered to women singers only. High school-age and adult singers welcome. Please fill out the application and mail with your $140 check to:

REHEARSALS
Rehearsals will be held in Ellicott City on Wednesday evenings (6:45-9:15 PM).
We are delighted to be rehearsing at:

COST - There are a few special fees for participation in this concert:

Registration ($50/each additional family member)

  Kalimba (thumb piano) - to use in the concert; yours to keep
$140
  Total due at registration
    In addition, each singer will need to allow for purchase of a Ugandan cloth piece for concert dress, in the $20-$50 range (to be paid at a later date).
